Big Gift for Sugarcane Farmers in Bihar

In a major boost to sugarcane farmers, the Bihar government has approved the Sugarcane Mechanization Scheme with a budget of ₹34.59 crore.

Under the scheme, subsidies will be provided on modern machinery like tractors, rotavators, trenchers, planters, sprayers and harvesters. The entire process will be online through the SuMech portal. This initiative aims to reduce production cost, solve labour shortage and increase sugarcane yield in the state.
