Cabinet Expansion Likely Soon, Rebel MPs Hopeful

There are strong indications that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may soon expand and reshuffle his Union Cabinet. Currently, around 10 ministerial posts are vacant.

The expansion is likely to take place before the Monsoon Session — possibly on July 5 or after July 11 when PM Modi returns from his foreign tour.

With NDA’s strength increasing due to rebel MPs from TMC, Shiv Sena (UBT) and AAP joining, these new supporters are also being considered for ministerial positions. Performance review of current ministers, upcoming elections in seven states, and social equations will play a key role in the final decision.
