Car Collides with Container, 5 Members of Same Family Killed

A tragic accident occurred on the Samruddhi Mahamarg in Amravati district of Maharashtra on Sunday afternoon. A speeding Ignis car rammed into a stationary container truck from behind near Dhamangaon Railway tehsil.

The five deceased, all from the same family in Chandrapur, were identified as Bhaskar Jivne (57), Mahadev Jivne (42), Aarti Jivne (40), Lata Jivne (43) and Krishna Jivne (12). They were on their way to Akola for a family function.

The impact was so severe that the car was completely destroyed. Police suspect the driver may have dozed off. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
