Does Lord Krishna’s Heart Still Beat?

Every 12 to 19 years, during Adhik Maas, the wooden idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra and Sudarshan are replaced in a highly secretive ritual called Navakalevara.

Priests transfer the sacred ‘Brahma Padartha’ from the old idol to the new one in complete darkness. Many believe this is Lord Krishna’s heart, which continues to beat even today.
