Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave a quick start with 21 runs off 14 balls. Prabhsimran Singh scored 11 runs. Tilak Varma made 23 runs. Rituraj Gaikwad scored 37 runs. Suryansh Shedge played a crucial knock of 72 runs off 66 balls, while Vipraj Nigam scored 51 runs off 49 balls. Their 104-run partnership helped India A reach a fighting total.

Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Mohamed Shiraz took three wickets each for Sri Lanka A.

Niroshan Dickwella scored 37 runs. Avishka Fernando made 22 runs. Sahan Arachchige and others contributed, but the chase went down to the wire. Sadeera Samarawickrama played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 93 runs.
This loss has put India A under pressure in the tri-series. They started with a win against Sri Lanka A but lost to Afghanistan A via DLS method earlier.
