India Clinch Tri-Series Title with Win Over Sri Lanka

India A won the Tri-Series title by defeating Sri Lanka A by 66 runs in the final at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Sunday. India A posted 377/9 and then bowled out Sri Lanka A for 311 in 47.1 overs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the star performer, smashing 92 runs off just 35 balls in the final. Tilak Varma led the side effectively.

India A elected to bat first after losing the toss and got off to a flying start. Vaibhav Suryavanshi tore into the Sri Lankan attack, scoring a fifty off just 11 balls. He was dismissed for 92. Priyansh Arya scored 39, Tilak Varma made 67, and Anukul Roy contributed a quick 39.

In reply, Sri Lanka A lost three early wickets. Sadira Samarawickrama scored 52, Vanuja Sahan made 62, but they could not chase down the target. Yash Thakur and Vipraj Nigam took three wickets each for India A.

This was the third meeting between the two teams in the tournament. India A finished the league stage with 4 points, while Sri Lanka A topped the table with 6 points.
