Ishan Kishan Creates History, Becomes No.1 T20 Batsman

Ishan Kishan has achieved a major milestone by becoming the world’s No.1 T20 batsman in the latest ICC rankings. He surpassed his Indian teammate Abhishek Sharma, who had held the top spot for nearly a year.

Ishan’s explosive performances in the T20 World Cup, where he scored 317 runs at a strike rate of nearly 200, and his standout series against Ireland helped him reach the summit.

He is now the fourth Indian after Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma to achieve this feat. Only seven rating points separate Ishan and Abhishek.
