Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has adopted a tough stance on law and order in West Bengal. Warning troublemakers and anti-social elements, he made it clear that strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to disturb peace in the state.

After coming to power, Shubhendu Adhikari has prioritised maintaining law and order. Addressing a press conference organised by BJP on the completion of 12 years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, the Chief Minister said that maintaining peace and law and order is the top priority of his administration.

He said, 'Some incidents have happened after we came to power, and we have dealt with them strictly. This has sent a clear message that we will follow a zero tolerance policy towards any kind of unrest, hooliganism and anti-social activities. We will not allow such things to continue.'

Giving a strong warning, the Chief Minister said that if such incidents happen again, no one will be worse than him. Strict legal action will be taken against those who indulge in violence or take the law into their own hands.

Referring to recent unrest in some parts of the state, he claimed that except for a few incidents in Park Circus and Asansol related to loudspeakers at religious places and bulldozer action against illegal constructions, the overall law and order situation in Bengal has remained under control.

Shubhendu Adhikari said that they will work under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Even in this short time, they have completed some important works. People have started seeing the benefits of the double-engine government, and these benefits will become even more visible in the coming days.

He also mentioned that in matters of national security, they have handed over land to the BSF and the process is continuing. In North Bengal, especially in areas near the Chicken Neck Corridor, fencing work has already started.

This firm message from the Chief Minister signals a major shift in the approach towards maintaining law and order in West Bengal.
