When Will Sawan Month Start in 2026?

Sawan, the holiest month dedicated to Lord Shiva, begins on 30 July 2026 according to the Purnimant calendar. Devotees observe fasts, especially on Mondays (Sawan Somvar), and perform special Shiva puja throughout the month.

This year four Sawan Somvars will be observed. In South India, which follows the Amant calendar, Sawan will start from 13 August 2026.
