Dubai-Based Indian Mastermind Arrested for Digital Arrest Scams and Draining Bank Accounts

In a major breakthrough, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Cyber Police have arrested the mastermind behind a large international cyber fraud network operating from Dubai and Thailand.

The accused, Saurabh alias Ganesh Balaso Kale, was running a sophisticated syndicate that targeted people across India through digital arrest, fake investment, and online task job scams. He allegedly drained crores of rupees from victims’ bank accounts.

The investigation began with a case registered in Dehu Road. During the probe, police found links to multiple cyber fraud cases. It was revealed that Ganesh Kale was controlling the entire network from Dubai. He used to lure people with promises of high returns, collected their bank details, ATM cards, and internet banking credentials, and then transferred huge amounts through their accounts.

As the investigation progressed, police found connections with Chinese nationals and other foreign operatives. The accused had set up an office in Dubai from where the entire cyber fraud operation was managed.

In September 2025, Kale fled from Dubai to Thailand to evade arrest. However, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Cyber Police did not give up. They issued an Interpol Red Corner Notice and Lookout Circular. After continuous coordination with international agencies, he was finally arrested at Bangkok Airport. On 11 June, he was brought back to India and formally arrested at Mumbai Airport.

Police claim that the accused is linked to several major cyber fraud cases, including a Rs 18 lakh online task fraud and a high-profile Rs 2.66 crore cyber fraud case in Hinjewadi.

The police are now interrogating him to uncover his full international network. They expect that many more big names, foreign connections, and details of crores of rupees in cyber frauds may come to light during questioning.

This high-profile arrest proves that no matter where cyber criminals hide, the long arm of the law will eventually catch them.
