Horrific Gangrape in Bihar, Accused Cross All Limits of Brutality

A horrific case of gangrape and extreme brutality has come to light from Begusarai district in Bihar. Five men allegedly tied a woman’s hands and feet, assaulted her with a blade, gangraped her, and then inserted a bullet, stone, and piece of wood into her private parts.

The incident took place on the night of June 11. The woman had gone to the toilet when the accused dragged her out, tied her up, and committed the heinous crime. After the assault, they left her in a critical condition.

The woman was first admitted to Sadar Hospital on June 12 and was discharged the same evening. However, she continued to suffer severe pain. On June 17, she was brought back to the hospital where an ultrasound revealed the shocking truth — a bullet, stone, and wooden piece were found inside her body and later removed by doctors.

The woman told the police that five men had overpowered her, gagged her mouth, tied her hands, and took turns raping her. She also alleged that the accused beat her and slashed her body with a blade. She further claimed that three months ago, three men had entered her house, tried to rape her, and looted valuables, but no proper action was taken then.

The victim’s husband said that the accused had locked him inside the room from outside before attacking his wife.

Following the complaint, the police have registered a case. A team led by two DSPs is investigating the matter. The police have assured strict action and a speedy trial. The victim’s statement has been recorded, and further investigation is underway.

This brutal incident has once again highlighted the grave issue of crimes against women in the state and raised serious questions about law and order and police response in such sensitive cases.
