The first spell of monsoon has exposed the weak infrastructure across several states. In Maharashtra, a major flyover on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway developed a huge crater. In Himachal Pradesh, 11 people have lost their lives due to rain-related incidents. Delhi-Dehradun Expressway also sank at one point while Ujjain, Surat, Bharuch and other cities faced severe waterlogging.
