Nuclear Threat Over Indus Waters: Bilawal Bhutto Warns India

Pakistan Peoples Party chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has issued a strong warning to India over the Indus Waters Treaty. He said any attempt to stop Pakistan’s water will be considered an attack on the country’s existence.

Bilawal claimed that Pakistan’s nuclear doctrine covers situations where its economy or water resources are seriously threatened. He described the Indus River as Pakistan’s lifeline and not a bargaining chip.

India had put the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance after the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack.
