Sunny Deol’s upcoming film 'Bantwara 1947' is one of the most awaited movies of the year. After the back-to-back success of Gadar 2, Jatt, and Border 2, audiences are eagerly waiting for Sunny’s next big film.

The teaser of 'Bantwara 1947' has now been released, and it looks like a powerful and impactful film. Once again, Sunny Deol is seen in a story related to Pakistan.

The teaser begins with narration by Aamir Khan, setting the atmosphere of the 1947 Partition era. Senior actress Shabana Azmi appears as a frightened elderly woman. Karan Deol and Ali Fazal are seen caught in the violence of Partition.

Preity Zinta’s character is also struggling in the same situation. Abhimanyu Singh plays the leader of a violent mob, talking about turning the streets red with blood. Then comes the entry of the hero — Sunny Deol. His dialogue, “I have no intention of getting into a fight, but I also have no objection,” is very powerful.

The film is based on Asghar Wajahat’s famous play 'Jis Lahore Nahin Vekhya, O Jamya Nahi'. The story revolves around an old Hindu woman whose entire family was killed during the Partition violence. She is living alone in her ancestral house in Lahore.

Meanwhile, a Muslim family that migrated from India is allotted that same haveli by the government. The old woman does not want to leave her house, and the family has no other option. Rioters also get information that an old Hindu woman is living in that house in Lahore.

'Bantwara 1947' brings this powerful story to the big screen. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who has earlier worked with Sunny Deol in Ghayal (1990), Ghatak (1996), and Damini (1993). The film is produced by Aamir Khan, and there are also reports of Aamir making a cameo appearance in the movie.

The teaser is impressive. It remains to be seen what magic the film creates when it releases in theatres on August 14.
