In a significant move to support the farming community, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay announced a complete waiver of cooperative agricultural loans up to Rs 75,000. Speaking in the state assembly under Rule 110, the Chief Minister also announced concessions of up to Rs 75,000 for loans ranging between Rs 75,000 and Rs 1 lakh. Emphasizing that agriculture is the backbone of the state and national prosperity relies on farmers, the government decided to provide an additional financial assistance of Rs 953.06 crore despite ongoing economic challenges. This initiative aims to benefit over 1.38 рд▓рд╛рдЦ (1.38 lakh) additional farmers, taking the total relief amount for 13.34 рд▓рд╛рдЦ (13.34 lakh) farmers to Rs 6,220 crore.
