Your Pocket Will Change From July 1

Many important changes will take effect from July 1, 2026 that will impact common citizens.

• Aadhaar: Email update will now be free via Aadhaar app (earlier ₹75).
• Passport: Service fees for normal and tatkal passports will increase.
• ITR: Deadline for filing ITR-1 and ITR-2 for FY 2025-26 is July 31.
• Credit Cards: Changes in reward points for SBI cards and free lounge access rules for HDFC cards.
• LPG: Deadline for shifting from LPG to PNG ends on June 30.
• Cars: Kia and Tata Motors to hike prices by up to 2%.
• EPFO 3.0: Expected rollout allowing UPI/ATM withdrawal of PF.

Railway rules are also expected to get stricter, especially for ticketless travel.
