US-Iran Deal to Be Signed Today: Trump

📅 June 14, 2026 🏷️ World News
Amid rising tensions in the Middle East and concerns over global energy markets, US President Donald Trump has made a major announcement. He claimed that the long-awaited agreement between the United States and Iran will be signed on June 14, 2026.

Trump described the deal as a historic turning point in relations between the two countries. He said that immediately after the signing, the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened for international shipping.

The most important part of the proposed agreement concerns Iran’s nuclear programme. According to Trump, the deal will guarantee that Iran will not develop nuclear weapons in the future. He called it a strong wall against nuclear proliferation.

Trump stated that under the agreement, Iran will not be allowed to purchase, develop, or acquire nuclear weapons by any means. He believes this arrangement will bring greater stability to the region.

The US President also said that after the deal is signed, the vital shipping route of the Strait of Hormuz will be immediately opened for commercial vessels. Since a large portion of the world’s oil trade passes through this strait, its reopening is expected to ease pressure on global markets.

Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that America is optimistic about working with Iran and the entire Middle East in the future. He said, “We look forward to working with Iran and the Middle East in the coming years.”

In his statement, Trump also criticised the policies of the previous US administration. Referring to the financial agreements made with Iran during Barack Obama’s time, he said that unlike then, there will be no direct financial payments this time. He reminded that hundreds of billions of dollars, including 1.7 billion dollars, were paid to Iran during the Obama era.

Trump also indicated that monitoring and necessary reforms of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure may continue in the future. He said that if needed, advanced military capabilities could be used to control Iran’s nuclear facilities, including underground sites. He also warned that other options are available if the situation demands it.
